Vegetarian Shoes is an award-winning vegan footwear retailer founded in 1990 by Robin Webb, a dedicated vegetarian and footwear enthusiast.

Vegetarian Shoes began as a 100% handmade-to-order enterprise after the founder became inspired by African regions re-purposing car tires into soles. Not wanting to use leather, Robin then stumbled on a synthetic Microfibre material used for yachting upholstery which mimicked the feel of supple leather. Using this new textile, the range of Vegetarian styles grew to include sandals, boots and accessories. With time, orders increased beyond capacity, which led to many British and European factories being introduced to the meet demand to a growing global fan base.

For over 20 years, NPS Shoes has collaborated with Vegetarian Shoes to manufacture the popular Airseal range, which features vegan-friendly air-cushioned soles. These deep tread soles are Goodyear welted for durability and can be re-soled for longevity. High-grade non-leather materials used throughout the Airseal range include Vegetan, which boasts hardwearing, breathable and water-resistant properties. Caring for non-leather textiles couldn’t be simpler - for maintenance, apply a good quality shoe polish or cream using a dry cloth.
