TWENTY-FOUR PAIRS AT A TIME
The making of a single pair of Goodyear welted footwear can involve over 200 different expert techniques. These techniques are carried out across six distinct departments at the NPS Wollaston factory and are completed twenty-four pairs at time.
From trolleys in the Closing room, poles in the Lasting room to racks around the rest of the NPS factory until each pair are boxed in the Shoe room.
