Due to the nature of Gaucho leather used, each product may differ in finish and may require a layer of Dubbin wax to achieve the pictured look.

Applying a suede protectant before wearing your footwear for the first time will help guard the surface. A suede brush can be used to remove dust and restore the nap after each use. Suede and Nubuck finishes should be kept away from large amounts of water due to its porous quality.

FREE shipping on all footwear orders, with a 30 day return and exchange policy.

In the unfortunate event that you need to return your order, head over to our Returns Center. Simply enter your order number, email address and select the items that you wish to return. You will then have the option of a refund or exchange to another size or style.

All import duties/taxes are included in the prices shown.

Greasy leather needs to be fed with Dubbin wax, oil or grease for nourishment. Apply sparingly to avoid creating a dull appearance.

Reviews

I love these. The first

"I love these. The first thing I noticed was how roomy the toe box is. I own a pair of the American Derby Brogue shoes in size US 9.5. I wound up getting the same size (after trying on a pair of size US 10). There’s plenty of wiggle room for the toes, thick socks, and a supportive insole. That’s more room than anticipated given my shoes fit comfortably with regular socks. These boots take a bit of breaking in so I’m wearing them a few hours at a time in the house before taking them out for the big reveal into the wild!"

— Hugues B. (5/5)

My second pair of Solovair

"My second pair of Solovair monkey boots as already bought a pair in the greasy leather and loved them. My feet aren’t easy to please and they are so comfortable. Much better quality than the ‘other’ manufacturer. Would also recommend the leather insoles."

— Matthew H. (5/5)

"Shoe was cool, but they sent me the wrong size. I ordered a 6.5 and got a 5.5. I didn’t realize until right before I sent it off to be returned and had already chosen a diff model by then thinking that it was my foot not being a good fit for the shoe."

— Alicia (4/5)

These boots are of the

"These boots are of the utmost quality. I could feel the craftsmanship as soon as I put them on and laced them up. They may take some time to break in, but when they do I can tell that they will be perfectly one with my feet. I am looking forward to a lifetime of style, sophistication, and comfort with these boots."

— Ian A. (5/5)

I like these Monkey Boots

"I like these Monkey Boots very much. They feel and wear much more shoe-like that a boot. I added a very thin insert with a little arch support. That's made them as close to perfect as anything I've worn."

— Stephen G. (5/5)

Although I loved my last

"Although I loved my last pair of Solovair Monkey Boots, the newer version on the 409 last gives me more room and comfort in the toe box and I think looks beeter than the previous ones too. Highly recommeded."

— Matthew L. (5/5)

went a half size down

"went a half size down as recommended. fits great. can't wait to get them broken in"

— timothy r. (5/5)

"Easy shipping and the best boot manufacturer on the planet. Because of the style, monkey boots take a bit of breaking in before they are really comfortable, but I can still easily wear these all day right out of the box."

— brian (5/5)

Nostalgic

"It’s been decades since I last wore a pair of these. These Monkeys are genuinely rugged and well made. I’m still breaking in the leather upper, but the sole is comfortable, bouncy, and surprisingly lightweight. Great boots—I’m very happy with them."

— B. A. (5/5)

First pair of monkey boots,

"First pair of monkey boots, takes a bit to break in and that period can be painful. Runs large in the toe box."

— Joshua W. (3/5)
