Applying a suede protectant before wearing your footwear for the first time will help guard the surface. A suede brush can be used to remove dust and restore the nap after each use. Suede and Nubuck finishes should be kept away from large amounts of water due to its porous quality.

"i'm not terribly pleased with these boots. first and foremost, they appear to be vegan, without any leather at all in the construction. i realize the patent leather appearance may be normal for hi-shine, but the boot -- and especially the tongue -- appear to be almost plastic. there's no scent of leather, and even the inside lining appears to be synthetic. the size chart from the website advised me to order down a size; however that appears to be at least a half-size too small. without the insoles i purchased, the comfort would be only fair."
